Dedicated support for your health and wellness journey.
Starting—or restarting—your health journey can feel overwhelming. When daily life already feels challenging, adding new changes may seem impossible.
That’s where health coaches come in. Our role is to guide and support you step by step, so you feel encouraged, empowered, and never alone on your path to better health.
Why health coaching?
-
Health coaching is a collaborative, structured form of support that helps you build sustainable systems for your health — in a way that works with your nervous system, energy patterns, and real-life capacity.
Rather than rigid plans or quick fixes, we focus on steady, practical changes that improve regulation, digestion, and daily functioning over time.
Support may include:
Building sustainable eating and movement habits
Navigating dietary changes and restrictions
Improving sleep and recovery
Stabilizing burnout and stress cycles
Creating simple, manageable meal rhythms
Designing low-capacity routines for hard days
Reducing digestive triggers
Adjusting your environment to reduce friction
Building realistic reset plans
You bring your lived experience.
I bring structure and evidence-informed guidance.
Together, we create support that works in your actual life — not an ideal version of it.
-
Health coaching is not:
Therapy
Medical diagnosis or treatment
A strict meal plan
A productivity system
A weight loss program
Someone telling you what to do
If you’re looking for clinical mental health care or medical treatment, those are important — and separate.
Coaching focuses on the day-to-day implementation of supportive systems.
-
Many neurodivergent adults:
Understand their patterns intellectually
Struggle with consistency under stress
Experience gut symptoms that flare with overload
Start strong and burn out
Internalize inconsistency as failure
Coaching provides:
✔ External structure without rigidity
✔ Accountability without shame
✔ Regulation before optimization
✔ Systems that flex with your energyInstead of another reset cycle, we build stability.
-
Through coaching, clients may experience:
Fewer burnout crashes
More stable digestion
Greater predictability in energy
Health routines that survive disruptions
Reduced self-criticism
Increased self-trust
Not perfection.
Not dramatic overnight change.
But sustainable progress that compounds.
Your health journey doesn’t have to be complicated—or something you go through alone. Health coaching gives you the support, clarity, and accountability you need to create lasting change.
MEET YOUR COACH
Kristen Nussa (she/her)
Founder + Health Coach, Fresh Start
Hi, I’m Kristen. I support adults who have felt misunderstood by traditional health advice — especially those who are late-diagnosed, self-identified, or questioning whether they may be neurodivergent.
So many of us have invested real time and effort into improving our health — starting strong, trying hard, and feeling discouraged when the changes didn’t stick.
The problem isn’t a lack of effort.
It’s that most health systems aren’t designed for different nervous systems.
I became a health coach because I saw how often capable adults blamed themselves for “not sticking with it” — when the real issue was mismatch. Mismatch between rigid advice and fluctuating capacity. Between sensory sensitivities and standard nutrition plans. Between burnout cycles and productivity-based wellness culture.
You deserve support that works with your brain and body — not against them.
My Approach
Health begins with foundations like nourishment, movement, and sleep — but true well-being is shaped by much more.
Your relationships.
Your work.
Your environment.
Your stress load.
Your sense of meaning and joy.
I take a holistic, neuroaffirming approach that considers the full picture of your life. Together, we design systems that are flexible, regulation-focused, and sustainable — especially on low-capacity days.
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about building stability and self-trust.
My Background
I bring over 20 years of personal and professional experience in health and behavior change.
I hold:
A Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition
A Master’s degree in Public Health
Certification as a Health Coach
My training gives me a strong foundation in evidence-based health science. My work is grounded in practical application — translating research into realistic, everyday systems that support long-term well-being.
But the most important part of my work isn’t credentials.
It’s creating a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported — without shame.
